Many young beauticians join the industry in order to hone their skills in beautifying and enhancing the lives of the customers, owever there has yet to be any major competition or contest in recognition of their skills and the value of pursuing this dream.

This is where ECMI Trade Fairs S.E.A. Sdn Bhd. steps in to fill this void in the ever evolving and growing beauty industry. As the originator and organiser of COSMOBEAUTE South East Asia, Asia's most comprehensive International Cosmetics and Beauty Trade Exhibition, ECMI Trade Fairs S.E.A Sdn. Bhd. introduces 'Beautician Search 2009'. The very first competition of its kind to highlight the effort and skills it takes to become a professional beautician in this day and age.

The competition kicks off in July with the preliminary rounds held at road shows in Johor, Penang, and Kuala Lumpur starting October 2009. Those who make it past the preliminaries will then go on to participate in the Grand Finals in December 2009.

The 'Beautician Search 2009' will be opened to professionals in the industry and contestants will be juged by a panel of proffesional International and local judges, on how their vision translates through their work, their knowledge of style and their beauty skills in areas such as Body Treatments, Hand and Foot Care, Facial Treatment and Make-up.

The contestants will stand a chance to walk away with RM20,000 cash, RM100,000 worth of additional prizes and sponsored enrichment coueses, publicity opportunities and the coveted title of 'Best Beautician 2009'.
