[MALAYSIA] The Meet & Mingle Session with the Spa & Wellness Industry Members

Malaysian Association of Wellness & Spa (MAWSPA) kicked off the great year of 2016 with the first Meet and Mingle Session at an authentic Balinese Spa Retail outlet greeting all members of Spa & Wellness industry on 25th February 2016 at Ombak Bali by Cemara Ayu, Sunway Putra Mall.

The Meet & Mingle Session gathered all members of spa & wellness industry and hoteliers to tackle the issue of spa therapist manpower shortage in the industry. Vice President of MAWSPA, Mdm. Ayu Mudiasih shared few tips and guides to recruit certified Spa therapist in her presentation during the event. Besides the procedures to recruitment, Sari Ayu by Martha Tilaar has specially presented a makeup demonstration specially catered for Spa therapist and staff.

President of MAWSPA, Dr Baskaran Kosthi had the chance to share updates and future plans about the association to the members. The industry owners also shared about their experiences and current issues they are facing, hopefully to receive some thoughts and advises from the experts.

In addition, Ombak Bali by Cemara Ayu, which is newly opened in Sunway Putra Mall was officially opened by Dr. Baskaran Kosthi, President of MAWSPA together with the Founder and Managing Director of Ombak Bali by Cemara Ayu, Mdm. Ayu Mudiasih, witnessed by MAWSPA committee members, representative from Sunway Putra Mall and members of Spa & Wellness industry.

Malaysian Association of Wellness & Spa (MAWSPA) is a non-profit organization, established to promote and to develop the Spa & Wellness industry in Malaysia through public educational seminars, distribution of printed materials, and other interactive events. This platform shall also encourage members to meet regularly and to network with professionals from Malaysia and other international organisations.
