The second day of Cosmobeauté Asia was equally exciting, as the 6th Cosmonail Cup Nail Competition began today at the main stage. Nearly 300 contestants from 14 countries and 60 invited judges from across Asia became the focal point of the event, as contestants raced amidst cheers from the spectators.
Beyond the fevered pitch at the stage, visitors continued to enter the halls to visit the various pavilions featured this year, including the South Africa Pavilion, established through a collaboration between Cosmobeauté Asia and WESGRO, The Official Tourism, Trade & Investment Promotion Agency for Cape Town and the Western Cape, with auspices from the South African High Commission in Malaysia to feature the South Africa Pavilion.
“Malaysia is one of the markets that we see opportunities for our companies.” said Ms. Nadine Smith, Representative of WESGRO. “And also, Malaysia is a market that we would like to be into. We are also bringing in a lot of companies that are halal certified companies because that is a focus area for our company.”
Over at the Meet & Mingle area, the Malaysian Association of Wellness & Spa (MAWSpa) were busy with a series of talks, presented by notable names in the spa industry, including Ayu Mudasih, Director of Knowledge Transfer of the Asia Pacific Spa & Wellness Coalition(APSWC) and Andrew Jacka, the President of APSWC. In a brief interview with Mr. Jacka, he urged spa operators & professionals to participate actively in industry events. “We need to be involved, we need to go attend these [exhibitions] and learn, so that we know that what we’re doing is the right thing for us, so it’s incredibly important to participate in these events” He added.
Come visit us today at PWTC, Kuala Lumpur, as we will be featuring equally interesting events as well!
