[MALAYSIA] Meet & Mingle with Malaysian Association of Wellness & Spa

In the pursuit of getting more and more spa business professionals to be involved in the development of Malaysia’s spa industry, the Malaysian Association of Wellness & Spa (MAWSPA) will be holding another networking session, picking up where they left of during the Meet & Mingle Session held earlier this year. All spa & wellness industry peers & professionals are invited!

Continuation of The Meet & Mingle Held in February 2016

MAWSPA kicked off the year of 2016 with the first Meet and Mingle Session at an authentic Balinese Spa Retail outlet greeting all members of Spa & Wellness industry on 25th February 2016 at Ombak Bali by Cemara Ayu, Sunway Putra Mall. The session gathered all members of spa & wellness industry and hoteliers discussing topics such as how to tackle the issue of spa therapist manpower shortage in the industry. On the other hand, President of MAWSPA, Dr Baskaran Kosthi shared a few previews about future plans to the members and audience.

In the upcoming Meet & Mingle Session at Cosmobeauté Asia 2016, Members of MAWSPA and spa industry professionals are invited to join where the latest updates regarding the association’s upcoming activities and plans will be announced and discussed.

Tackling the manpower issue

Manpower resources have always been a major problem faced in the spa & wellness industry. Thus, MAWSPA is set to guide all of its members in addressing the issue and providing advices on therapist recruitment. The event will create a great atmosphere for all spa industry peers to share their experience and issues while getting new industry knowledge.

Obtaining the official star rating

One of the frequently asked question by a spa operator revolves around the process of obtaining the official star rating from Ministry of Tourism and Culture and Ministry of Home Affairs (KDN) quotas. Thus, during the event, these matters will be clarified so that all attendees will have better understanding of the industry standards and various procedures. If you have uncertainties in these areas, this is a great chance for you to learn more by attending the MAWSPA Meet & Mingle session!
