Cosmobeauté Vietnam 2012, the biggest beauty trade event in Vietnam closed with success at Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center (SECC) on 21 April 2012 after 3 days of exhibits.

Only at its 5th year, Cosmobeauté Vietnam 2012 had well hosted more than 120 exhibitors from 11 countries representing latest brands worldwide and attended by more than 9,000 quality trade visitors collectively from all around the world such as Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, Korea, Cambodia, Thailand, Lao PDR, China, Hong Kong and many more.

Inaugural launched by local ministries and associations’ leaders in the industry, local ministries like Mr. Vo Ta Luong – the Deputy Chief Representative of Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam and Mr. Bui Duc Phong – the Deputy Chief Inspector from the Ministry of Health spoke at the opening ceremony.

Among the guests who were delighted by the opening make-up show by Linh Chi Academy before the ceremony includes Mrs. Nguyen Viet Hong – the Head of South – Vietnam Women’s Union, Mrs. Truong My Hoa – the Former Vice President of Vietnam, Ass. Professor Le Hanh, MD, PhD – the Representative of the Ho Chi Minh Society of Plastic & Aesthetic Surgery and Mr. Kim Deok-Seong – the Chairman of the Korea Beauty Industry Society (KOBIS) and Mr. Omar Al-Qenaei – the Consul General of the State of Kuwait in Ho Chi Minh City.

“This year we are creating more excitement for the visitors as we have a new additional pavilion – Thailand Pavilion besides the existing Korea, Taiwan, Singapore and Malaysia Pavilions. Therefore, we are also expecting a larger number of visitors, especially those from the Indo China region, to visit Cosmobeauté Vietnam 2012 and meet more international exhibitors here,” said Mr. CP Saw, the Managing Director of ECMI Trade Fairs S.E.A. Sdn Bhd, organiser of the exhibition at his welcoming speech.

Mr. Vo Ta Luong, the Deputy Chief Representative of Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam said that Cosmobeauté Vietnam has been on the growing path with Vietnam’s beauty industry for the past 4 years and now has successfully become the focal point in attracting more international companies for trade, technology and knowledge sharing. He believed that Cosmobeauté Vietnam will definitely influence the cosmetic industry positively by escalating it to the international level. Consequently, it is optimistic that the integration of Vietnamese economy to the world market.

“This event allows visitors to discover the global trend and exposed to high-end products, services and brands in the industry through specialized conferences, trainings and product demonstrations. Besides, visitors have the invaluable experience to search for business partners and improve their services’ quality,” said Mr. Bui Duc Phong on behalf of the Ministry of Health at the ceremony.

With the kind support from the local Ministry of Health by allowing more than 14,800 cosmetics’ brands from 236 different manufacturers and about 552 cosmetics reseller entering the Vietnamese market, Cosmobeauté Vietnam 2012 has greater faith in growing and improvising together with the industry.

Cosmobeauté Vietnam 2012 was officially open with the ribbon cutting ceremony by all the honorable guests at Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center (SECC), Ho Chi Minh City witnessed by the beauty professionals and floor of media.

Event Highlights

Various stage and seminar programs gained full support from visitors throughout the 3-days event, especially The Beauty Shop by Ky Duyen hosted by the flamboyant Vietnamese own multi-talented diva, Nguyen Cao Ky Duyen herself sharing her experience in the beauty industry after being appointed as Brand Ambassadors by many beauty brands. Jointly organised by the Vietnam Tokyo Beauty Art Academy, B x Art – Cosmobeauté Fusion Hair Contest took the stage with creative hairstyling skills by contestants at the theme of “Summer Wind”. Visitors definitely got inspired by the Wella Hair Collection 2012 presented by South Island Nam Dao (Wella) showcasing the varied latest hair trend by many hair experts.

Dr. Murad introduced its very own scientific solutions and technologies for acne, cellulite, inherited aging skin, Melasma skin treatment paired with 120 minutes demonstration during its first ever aesthetic conference. This first debut of Dr. Murad in Vietnam has given the visitors an unexpected spectacular experience!

Aside from that, the first International Conference on Plastic Aesthetic Surgical and Non-Surgical Treatment organised by the Ho Chi Minh City Society of Plastic & Aesthetic Surgery in conjunction with Cosmobeauté Vietnam 2012 was a successful event with great attendance. Lead by the Representative of the Ho Chi Minh Society of Plastic & Aesthetic Surgery, Associate Professor Le Hanh, MD, PhD, various aesthetics experts from Vietnam has shared valuable information and knowledge on aesthetic surgeries to all the attendees.

Cosmobeauté Vietnam 2012 has great pleasure in receiving positive feedback both from exhibitors and visitors.

The Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) at Ho Chi Minh City is filled with melodies orchestrated by all the hammering and sawing with various construction equipment. After 3 days of sweats and tears from the contractors and exhibitors, the halls are now nicely decorate with well-built booths, seminar rooms, stage and lounges.

Hectic is the only word to describe the three days in the exhibition hall where contractors were busy with booth construction, moving in furniture, installing electrical supplies and equipment. Nevertheless, it got merrier when exhibitors started to check in and found busy decorating and positioning their products in their own designated space.

COSMOBEAUTÉ VIETNAM 2012 ANNOUNCED STRATEGIES ATTRACTING MORE REGIONAL VISITORS FROM MEKONG DELTA REGIONS

Cosmobeauté Vietnam, the biggest beauty trade fair in Vietnam announced new made-to-measure plan to over 100 companies and media at the kick-off meeting today in Majestic Hotel, Ho Chi Minh.

The kick-off meeting successfully hyped up the crowd consisting over 90 exhibiting and potential companies, and more than 20 media with a list of new marketing strategies and event highlights for Cosmobeauté Vietnam scheduled to happen next year from 19th to 21st of April 2012.

Chief Representative of Ministry of Industry of Trade, Mr. Phan The Hao delivered his opening speech to start off the meeting. Mr. Phan said that Cosmobeauté Vietnam has been an important platform for operators in the beauty industry and further conclude that the future of beauty industry growing in Vietnam is tremendous due to the increase in consumers spending and desire of looking good especially the 50% young population out of the 90 million people.

Followed by Mr. CP Saw, the Managing Director of ECMI Trade Fairs SEA Sdn Bhd announced comprehensive new directions of Cosmobeauté Vietnam as well as full range of itineraries which promised to fascinate both exhibitors and visitors.

Cosmobeauté Vietnam continues its commitment in providing a strategic platform for the beauty trade professionals for business networking by bringing in more regional group buyers from the neighboring countries such as Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Myanmar and Southern China of approximately 300 million population. “Our 2012 goal is to make Ho Chi Minh city the base and central focus in attracting not only trade visitors from Vietnam but more from the neighboring countries to visit Cosmobeauté Vietnam”, said Mr. Saw.

Ensuring the success of achieving this goal, Cosmobeauté Vietnam introduced a range of focus yet intensive marketing activities such as distribution of targeted direct mail invitations and visitors tickets to beauty trade professionals, free shuttle bus service to facilitate visitors with transportation difficulties in Vietnam and within neighboring countries, promotional road shows in Ho Chi Minh city and neighboring countries and last but not least a pre-arranged business meeting program.

An introduction of exciting events set to mesmerize visitors next year April such as the “Summer Wind” themed B x Art Fusion Hair Contest, Malaysian Postnatal Treatment, Plastic Surgeon International Conference and many more. “Cosmobeauté Vietnam anticipates towards the introduction of Vietnam Royal Spa concept within the region of Vietnam and even to Cambodia and Mekong Delta countries as we aim to see the grasping development of SPA industry in these very potential markets” says Mr. Saw while introducing the Vietnam Royal Spa concept as one of the event highlights.

Mr. Saw further announced that Dr. Murad, a US Skincare brand will be participating in Cosmobeauté Vietnam and the local distributors will host a conference targeting approximately 500-800 beauty professionals during Cosmobeauté Vietnam.

Attendees to the meeting were thrilled by the hair styling presentation by B x Art Vietnam Tokyo Beauty Art Academy and a skincare product introduction done by Minh Khuong Co Ltd.
